The Chadwick Center presents:

The 37th Annual San Diego International Conference on Child and Family Maltreatment

We are thrilled to invite you to join us for the “37th Annual San Diego International Conference on Child and Family Maltreatment” presented by the Chadwick Center for Children and Families at Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego.  Register now!

Our world has changed significantly over the past year, but one thing remains the same – we are better able to meet challenges and adversities when we do it together.  That is why we are committed to curating a conference that provides education and connection opportunities for professionals in the field of child maltreatment and trauma and addresses the topics that you need the most.  As the world has changed, so have we and the structure of this event.  The Conference will institute multiple safety precautions, including the use of masks and ways to maintain social distancing while still feeling connected to one another.  We will provide both in-person and virtual opportunities, while also embracing a format that is engaging and welcoming in new and innovative ways.  However, you can rest assured that we will continue to offer a state-of-the-art, interactive program that is specifically designed for those professionals who are supporting our most vulnerable families.  Internationally recognized faculty members will cover challenging topics in the following tracks:

-Mental Health and Trauma Counseling
-Forensic Interviewing
-Early Childhood Mental Health
-Child Welfare
-Prevention and Family Strengthening
-Secondary Traumatic Stress
-Leadership and Children’s Advocacy Center’s issues
-Trauma-Informed Systems
-Scientific Sessions
-Victim Support and Advocacy

Some highlights this coming year will include: innovations in telehealth services; the intersection of trauma-informed practice and racial justice; supporting immigrant and refugee populations; multidisciplinary team approach for comprehensive patient care; addressing secondary traumatic stress; and many others!  Our goal is for your conference experience to be positive…energized with a renewed passion and commitment to work with families to become healthy and free from physical abuse, sexual violence and neglect.

Looking forward to having you join us in January.

Warm regards,

Lisa Conradi, Psy.D.
