Lucy Weismantel is a Deputy District Attorney, currently assigned as the Team Leader for the North County Family Protection Division of the District Attorney’s Office. Ms. Weismantel has been a Deputy District Attorney for 11 years, with a career emphasis in prosecuting domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse cases.  This includes homicide cases and multiple victim sexual assault cases.  Currently, Ms. Weismantel is prosecuting a couple for murdering and torturing a child, with special circumstances alleged.

During her career, Ms. Weismantel has prosecuted high profile cases and was featured in NBC’s “Crime and Punishment” television series.  Ms. Weismantel presents lectures and training in various forums on prosecution/trial tactics, the judicial system and prosecuting domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse cases.
