Dr. Sparta is Clinical Professor of Psychiatry,UCSD School of Medicine; Adjunct Professor of Law, Thomas Jefferson School of Law; & Adjunct Professor of Psychology SDSU. Dr. Sparta was Chair of the Ethics Committee, American Psychological Association; Chief Psychologist, Children's Hospital San Diego; Commissioner, Juvenile Justice Commission, San Diego County; Trustee, San Diego Center for Children; coauthor of Guidelines for Psychological Evaluations in Child Protection Matters by the American Psychological Association; Co-Editor of "Forensic Mental Health Assessment of Children and Adolescents", published by Oxford University Press and consults nationally on child abuse or child mental health issues. Dr. Sparta has a private professional practice in San Diego, CA. and is board certified in Clinical and Forensic Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology.
