D3 CDC’S INITIATIVES TO PREVENT SHAKEN BABY SYNDROME

 

Kelly Sarmiento, MPH is a health communications specialist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Center for Injury Prevention and Control in Atlanta, Georgia.  Over the last two years at CDC’s Injury Center, Kelly has worked on multiple national and award-winning educational campaigns and initiatives that focus on raising awareness and improving prevention, recognition, and management of traumatic brain injuries, including concussion.  Kelly has a Masters of Public Health from Yale University School of Epidemiology and Public Health, and a BA in Anthropology and a BA in Spanish from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
