I2 b) SELF-CONCEPT IN SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE WITH A HISTORY OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROBLEMS
Dr. Bridgett Scimone Ross recently graduated from Alliant International University with a PsyD in Clinical Psychology. Prior to her graduate studies, she attended Boston College and obtained BA in Psychology and Philosophy. Dr. Ross began working with survivors of domestic violence through Transition House, which is a shelter for battered women in Massachusetts. In graduate school, she provided psychotherapy to children and their families with various trauma histories at the Chadwick Center for Children and Families.
Most recently, Dr. Ross completed an APA internship with Kaiser Permenente where she conducted individual, group, and family therapy with a myriad of populations as well as completed rotations at the Family Justice Center, Chemical Depency Recovery Program, and Emergency Room. Her clinical and research interests include trauma, women's issues, bereavement, and mood and anxiety disorders. Currently, Dr. Ross is completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Alvarado Parkway Institute.
