C14 DEVELOPING A COMMUNITY RESPONSE TO CHILD ABUSE
Julie Pape is a pediatric nurse practitioner who has focused her professional career in the area of child abuse and neglect. Julie completed her graduate studies at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota. From 1994-1999 she functioned as a case manager at the Midwest Children’s Resource Center at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics in St. Paul providing medical evaluations, forensic interviews, and professional consultation.
Julie served as the Project Director for the Midwest Regional Children’s Advocacy Center from 1999 – 2003. In 2003 Julie accepted a position with National Children’s Alliance to be the first Director of Programs. In her new role she is responsible for a multi-million dollar grants program, the membership and training departments as well as the development of a national case tracking system for Children’s Advocacy Centers.
