F14 RECENT RESEARCH AFFECTING CHILD ABUSE INVESTIGATIONS AND PROSECUTION
Chris Newlin, MS LPC, is the Executive Director of the National Children’s Advocacy Center where he is responsible for providing leadership and management of NCAC and participating in national leadership activities regarding the protection of children. Chris has broad experience in a variety of child maltreatment settings - providing therapy for victims of child abuse, non-offending siblings and non-offending caregivers, adolescents with sexual behavior problems, and adult sex offenders. He has participated in National Institute of Mental Health-funded child abuse research and worked for the last 12 years in Child Advocacy Centers in both rural and urban areas. Chris is a member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the American Counseling Association, and a Clinical Member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers. He has presented at numerous local, regional, and national conferences, and also serves on the National Children’s Alliance Development Committee.
