M1 EMERGING LINKS BETWEEN PRIVATE PHILANTHROPIC FUNDING SOURCES AND EVIDENCE BASED PRACTICE
As vice president, programs of Alliance Healthcare Foundation, Linda manages the foundation's grant making process. Her areas of expertise include the design and evaluation of community-based health programs and management of community advocacy campaigns for communicable disease prevention and control. In addition to her role at AHF, Linda is a consultant to the Pan American Health Organization and the World Health Organization. Linda is a former member of the San Diego HIV Community Prevention Planning Board (1995-2001) and a current member of the board's Prevention Strategies and Evaluation Subcommittee. She participated in the City of San Diego Taskforce on Clean Syringe Exchange, is a member of the city's Clean Syringe Exchange Program Facilitation Committee and the Meth Services Planning Group. Linda earned her master's degree and doctorate of public health at Johns Hopkins University, School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland.
