Rebecca Leeb, PhD
Epidemiologist Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Dr. Rebecca Leeb completed her Ph.D. in Applied Developmental Psychology at McGill University in Montreal, QC, Canada in 1999. After completing her degree (and while working in a bike shop) she took a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Social Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill working on the Longitudinal Studies of Child Abuse and Neglect (LONGSCAN) a multi-site study investigating the antecedents and consequences of child maltreatment in a cohort of approximately 1500 children.
Currently, Dr. Leeb works as an Epidemiologist in the Division of Violence Prevention in the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, GA. The majority of Dr. Leeb’s work focuses on the etiology and surveillance of child maltreatment and youth violence.
When not working on the etiology and surveillance of violence Dr. Leeb trains as a cyclist and races her mountain bike. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any additional information.
