John Landsverk, PhD Researcher CASRC, Rady Children's Hospital
N2 a) SUBSTANCE USE, VIOLENCE, DEPRESSION AND SUBSEQUENT MATERNAL HEALTH OUTCOMES AMONG ADOLESCENT MOTHERS
Dr. Landsverk received a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Minnesota in 1969, and completed a two year NIH funded post‑doctoral fellowship in the School of Public Health at the University of California, Los Angeles from 1979-1981. Currently, he is professor in the School of Social Work at San Diego State University and Principal Investigator of the NIMH funded P50 “Child and Adolescent Services Research Center (CASRC)” at Children’s Hospital – San Diego, Principal Investigator on the NIMH R01 “Mental Health Services Across Child Welfare Agencies”, Principal Investigator on the NIMH R24 “Improving Care for Children in Child Welfare”, and Co-Investigator on the ACYF funded “National Study on Child and Adolescent Well-Being”. These studies focus primarily on mental health service delivery to children and adolescents involved in public service systems. Dr. Landsverk has published widely in this area, especially mental health service delivery to children and adolescents involved in the child welfare sector.
