Cindy Kuelbs, M.D., is a Pediatric Hospitalist, and Division Director of Pediatrics and Hospital Medicine for Children’s Specialists of San Diego. She is also Chief of Staff, Medical Director of Inpatient Services, and the Medical Director of the Chadwick Center at Children’s Hospital and Health Center, San Diego.  Dr. Kuelbs received her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin and received a medical degree from the University of Minnesota. She completed her residency at the University of California, San Diego, where she was also Chief Resident. Dr. Kuelbs is a Board Certified Pediatrician who has performed child abuse evidentiary examinations for 16 years and has been retained as an expert witness on many occasions. Domestic violence, especially as it affects children, is a specific area of interest. In conjunction with this interest, Dr. Kuelbs is a past president of the San Diego Domestic Violence Council. She is in demand as an authority on the impact of DV on children and has spoken on this topic to many people, both professional peers and laypersons.
