Kelley Simmons Jones is currently a social worker at Providence St. Peter Hospital Sexual Assault Clinic and Child Maltreatment Center. She provides medical social work, triage and consultation, community education and advocacy services for children, youth and families. Ms. Simmons Jones has provided training and education at various local conferences, including training DCFS CPS and CWS social workers at Academy Training on child and adolescent development and the impact of trauma, neglect and domestic violence. She is regionally certified as a Developmental Therapy - Teaching trainer, is a licensed mental health counselor in private practice and a current doctoral student at Antioch University Seattle. Previously, Ms. Simmons Jones founded and directed a therapeutic child development program for abused and neglected children, ages birth to six years-old and their families, for ten years in Thurston County Washington.
