F3 PREVENTING FUTURE CHILD DEATHS THROUGH EFFECTIVE AND ACTIONABLE CHILD DEATH REVIEW TEAM PREVENTION RECOMMENDATIONS

 

Dr. Johnston is chief of pediatrics at Harborview Medical Center and a staff physician at the Seattle Children’s Hospital. He directs pediatric care and resident education at the regional trauma center and is an investigator at the Harborview Injury Prevention and Research Center. His academic focus has been on risk behaviors, family stress, resilience and community-based injury prevention. He is a member of the King County Child Death Review team and has had federal grants to  foster linkages between the child death review process and injury prevention at the local level.
