Patricia Chamberlain founded the MTFC model to create an alternative to group care for children and adolescents with severe mental health and behavioral problems. She has been Principal Investigator on several randomized trials examining the feasibility and effectiveness of community-based intervention and prevention approaches. She is the 2007 recipient of the Science to Practice Award from the Society of Prevention Research.
