Lorena J. Burris, PhD: is an education and training specialist for the Indian Country Child Trauma Center (ICCTC) at the Center on Child Abuse and Neglect at the Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dr. Burris is currently working for ICCTC to develop culturally appropriate trauma-related treatment interventions for Native children and their families. Dr. Burris is a licensed psychologist and provides clinical services to adolescents and children at the Center on Child Abuse and Neglect. Dr. Burris also provides training and consultation to mental health providers in the treatment of child physical and sexual abuse in Indian Country. Dr. Burris is a member of the Osage tribe of Oklahoma.
