G2 MULTIDIMENSIONAL TREATMENT FOSTER CARE FOR PRESCHOOLERS (MTFC-P)
Jacqueline Bruce obtained her Ph.D. in child clinical psychology from the University of Minnesota in 2005. She is currently a research associate at the Oregon Social Learning Center and the Center for Research to Practice in Eugene, Oregon. Dr. Bruce’s research focuses on the impact of early adverse experiences, such as neglectful and/or abusive care and repeated disruptions to relationships with caregivers, on the development of young children. She is particularly interested in alterations in critical neurobiological systems, including the HPA system and the prefrontal cortex, following exposure to early adversity. Additionally, Dr. Bruce’s research is also concerned with the plasticity of these neurobiological systems following appropriate therapeutic intervention.
