Melissa Lim Brodowski has over 15 years experience working in child welfare and human services. She currently works in the Prevention Specialist at the Office on Child Abuse and Neglect, Children's Bureau, ACF, USDHHS. In this capacity, she oversees a range of formula and research and demonstration projects including the Community-Based Child Abuse Prevention Program, the Family Connections National Replication Project, and a variety of other activities related to prevention.

 

Prior to joining OCAN, she was a Management Analyst with the Alameda County, CA Social Services Agency where she worked on various interagency agreements and compiled the Department's annual report on foster care. She has also provided direct services through her work as a case manager at a methodone clinic working with pregnant and parenting mothers and their young children. She earned her Master's in Social Work and Public Health from the University of California at Berkeley.
