Gerry D. Blasingame, MA, is a California licensed marriage and family therapist who has worked extensively with children, teens, adults and families for over twenty years. Gerry received his masters’ degree in marriage, family, and child counseling from Azusa Pacific University in 1987. Some of his first clients were children with developmental disabilities and he has continued to serve persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities over the years. Gerry has authored two books, several articles and chapters in books, has taught undergraduate psychology courses, trained county social workers in child abuse assessment and intervention, and has presented at numerous conferences and workshops. Gerry is considered an expert in the field of mental health, normal and deviant sexuality, and treatment for persons with developmental disabilities who have sexual behavior problems.
