Abstract: 

This workshop will address perspectives on dissociation as both a symptom and disorder for assessment and treatment.  Topics to be addressed include: (a) Myths, misunderstandings, and controversies; (b) Diagnosis and/or symptom continuum; (c) Issues in prevalence, comorbidity, and diagnosis; and (d) Treatment outcomes.  Research and clinical anecdotes will inform these perspectives.
