Abstract:

Children who have been exposed to psychological trauma often act inappropriately at home, at school, or in other settings. This presentation explains the neurological basis for these behaviors and why these kids become internally dysregulated. The presenters offer strategies for teaching children methods to restore the ability to regulate themselves.
