Foundations and major funders are increasingly considering research evidence as they select where to invest their resources.  This session will explore the motivations and strategies of several funding organizations in considering evidence based practices.

Abstract:

Over the past five years, federal, state, and local government funding sources across the nation have begun to connect funding decisions to the implementation of evidence based practices.  Today foundations and community funders like United Way are moving in the same direction.  This session will be a interactive conversation with key funders about how they see the role of research evidence and empirically demonstrated outcomes in making high impact funding decisions.
