Abstract:

The study utilizes public databases, including the California Epicenter injury database and the national W iSQARS database [[plus180 published articles on children’s falls. From the data in these sources we derive a maximum likelihood that a short falls of less than 1.5 m. cause death in infants or young children. This maximum figure is less than one death per million children per year.
