This workshop offers some thoughts and considerations about how trial lawyers can make the most out of opening statement and closing argument.

Abstract:

A trial lawyer has only two opportunities to talk to a jury. Opening statements allow the lawyer to build the lens through which the jurors will view, and interpret, the evidence. Closing argument reinforces the significance of what all the little pieces of evidence mean and how to construct those into a conviction.  This workshop offers some thoughts and considerations about how trial lawyers can make the most out of these two opportunities.
