Abstract: Countering normalization of harm and exploitation is a key component in prevention of child sexual abuse and exploitation. This workshop defines normalization, delineates the impact, provides multiple examples and specific prevention strategies from policies and organizational practices to education. Whether participants do treatment, education or advocacy this information can be woven into your efforts to stop harmful social trends and the impact on individuals families and communities. The session also includes information on the National Coalition to Prevent Child Sexual Exploitation including an 8 point prevention strategy.
