Abstract:

This workshop will examine the methodologies and concrete information to be gained by the strategically planned, effective investigative interview of the so-called "non-offending" parent. Through actual case vignettes, the trainer will discuss issues of using this interview or interviews to assist in decision-making as to the accuracy of the referral, corroboration of the child's disclosure, and assessing the parent's willingness and capability to protect and support the disclosing child through the investigative and therapeutic process.
