The child said that Mr. Lloyd hurt her Tu-Tu. Mom thinks it's sexual abuse. How should the investigator proceed?

Abstract:

Source monitoring is the process of documenting how an allegation arose and progressed to the point of intervention by the protection system. This technique provides information about the likelihood that an allegation is false. Investigators should rule out false allegations very early in the case proceedings. These techniques are particularly helpful in cases where sexual touching of very young children is alleged and in cases where sexual abuse allegations arise while parents are divorcing and/or disputing custody and visitation.
