Description: Information on how to implement empirically supported practices in real life clinical settings.
Abstract: This interactive presentation will provide information on how to implement empirically supported practices in real life clinical settings. Topics will include assessing your organization’s readiness to implement a new practice, training staff, providing supervision and maintaining fidelity to the model, and using measurement to track your progress. Challenges will be discussed and lessons learned will be presented, along with helpful suggestions for overcoming obstacles and barriers to the process. Specifically, presenters will discuss their experiences in implementing two EBTs: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Additional resources that can be copied and disseminated will be provided. Information on how EBPs can lead to grant funding opportunities will also be covered.
