Abstract: Child Abuse cases can be very complicated and present unique challenges for the law enforcement investigator. The investigator must rely on the medical findings, the crime scene, social services, and his/her interviews and interrogation skills to prepare a case for presentation to the prosecuting agency. This workshop is for new and experienced child abuse investigators who want a closer look at the implications of abusive head trauma, as well as skeletal, external, and internal injuries associated with SBS and the importance of using the medical findings when conducing reenactments, interviews and interrogations.
